- Stuttgart, Jul 24, 2013 - The first nine-speed automatic transmission with torque converter, the 9G-TRONIC for premium vehicles, is celebrating its world premiere: equipped with the innovative power transmission, the E 350 BlueTEC is set to become one of the most fuel-efficient six-cylinder diesel models in its class. Thanks to the high level of efficiency of the patented transmission design, NEDC fuel consumption in the E-Class is reduced to 5.3 litres of diesel per 100 km.

- Stuttgart, Mar 7, 2013 - With an intelligently modified, distinctive design, a new, high-grade interior, new, efficient engines and new assistance systems, Mercedes-Benz has comprehensively updated the E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet. In addition, these particularly sportily designed members of the E-Class family have taken a large step forward in terms of lively performance, efficiency and ecology.

- Stuttgart, Jan 15, 2013 - With new, efficient engines, new assistance systems from the future S-Class and a new design idiom, Mercedes-Benz has comprehensively modernised the E-Class. The new E-Class has made a significant step forward when it comes to efficiency and ecology too. Among other things, this comes courtesy of new, powerful BlueDIRECT four-cylinder petrol engines featuring sophisticated direct injection technology.

- Stuttgart, Jan 4, 2013 - Like the Saloon and Estate models, Mercedes-Benz has completely revised the Coupé and Cabriolet members of the E-Class family. New additions include powerful and efficient BlueDIRECT four-cylinder engines featuring pioneering injection technology and trend-setting assistance systems, which come under the heading "Intelligent drive". These are systems which can help to prevent accidents with crossing vehicles or pedestrians, Active Lane Keeping Assist or anti-glare, permanent high-beam headlamps, for example.

- Stuttgart, Dec 13, 2012 - With new, efficient engines, new assistance systems and a new design idiom, Mercedes-Benz has comprehensively modernised the E-Class to extend its leading position in the luxury segment even further. In both the Saloon and Estate models no less than eleven new or optimised assistance systems from the future S-Class celebrate their world premiere. They combine a host of comfort and safety features, all of which Mercedes-Benz refers to as "intelligent drive".

- Stuttgart, Aug 28, 2012 - At the same time as it celebrates its market launch, the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID has now also obtained its Environmental Certificate in accordance with ISO standard 14062. This award is based on a Life Cycle Assessment, in which the independent inspectors of TÜV Süd subject the vehicle to comprehensive tests covering the entire life cycle.

- Stuttgart, Dec 20, 2011 - Mercedes-Benz is opening a new chapter in its brand's core segment and at the same time setting new standards for luxury-class business vehicles: the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID, available as a Saloon and Estate, impresses with new record values when it comes to efficiency. It boasts exemplary consumption levels (4.2 l/100 km ) as well as impressive performance: the 4-cylinder diesel engine of the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID has 150 kW (204 hp) and 500 Nm.

- Stuttgart, May 3, 2011 - More than ever before, new petrol engines and an optimised powertrain make the 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class the standard for efficiency in its segment. With a combined fuel consumption of only 6.8-7.0 litres and 8.9 litres* of premium petrol per 100 kilometres, the E 350 BlueEFFICIENCY and E 500 BlueEFFICIENCY excel as the most economical models in their respective performance classes. Following the introduction of the new BlueDIRECT V6 and V8 models, all petrol and diesel engines in the E-Class now feature direct injection.

- Bremen, Mar 29, 2010 - Today business owner Dieter Funke was personally presented with the keys to his new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet by Peter Schabert, Manager of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen. He is the very first customer to take delivery of the two-door convertible with its classic fabric soft top at the Customer Centre, immediately after the market launch. Dieter Funke decided in favour of an E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY Cabriolet in palladium silver.

- Stuttgart, Mar 24, 2010 - Mercedes-Benz is making a dynamic and elegant start this 2010 automotive spring season: just one week after the official start of spring, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and E-Class Cabriolet will be making their showroom debuts. Both dream cars are enough to set motoring enthusiasts' pulses racing.

- Detroit, Jan 11, 2010 - Positive signals underline the Mercedes-Benz presence at the 2010 North American International Auto Show. The highlight of the opening day today was the debut of the new E-Class Cabriolet, which is celebrating its world premiere in Detroit. The four-seater, year-round cabriolet completes the successful E-Class family and presents a world first in the shape of the AIRCAP® wind deflector, which considerably reduces air turbulence when the top is down.

- Stuttgart, Jan 11, 2010 - With the introduction of the new Cabriolet, the current Mercedes E-Class family is now complete. Sales of the model are scheduled to start in Europe on 11 January 2010. The open-top four-seater Cabriolet is expected to be on display in dealership showrooms from 27 March, and will also be celebrating its world premiere at the Detroit Motorshow from 11 January 2010.

- Stuttgart, Dec 15, 2009 - The highly appealing and emotionally charged Cabriolet is the latest addition to the successful Mercedes-Benz E-Class line-up. The open-top two-door model, which goes on sale on 11 January 2010, features a classic fabric soft top, making for a stylistically pure cabriolet feeling. Viewed from the side, the new model is an intriguing proposition – with its clear proportions and a flawless cabriolet silhouette.

- Stuttgart, Jul 17, 2009 - Mercedes-Benz is adding to the engine line-up for the new E-Class by introducing two economical four-cylinder models. The E 200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY developing 100 kW/136 hp consumes 5.2 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres, while the new E 200 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY has an output of 135 kW/184 hp and consumes 7.2 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres.

- Bremen, May 11, 2009 - Siegfried Möller (56) was able to pick up the key for his new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé today from Peter Schabert, manager of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen. This makes him the first customer to receive the Coupé with its striking design from the customer centre of the Bremen plant as soon as the model was launched. Siegfried Möller chose an E 500 Coupé in palladium silver, including an extensive range of optional extras such as the AMG Sports package and the COMAND multimedia system.

- Stuttgart, Feb 17, 2009 - The Geneva Motor Show will see the comeback of an intriguing product idea when Mercedes-Benz presents the Coupé range in the new E Class. Just three months after the presentation of the Saloon, the brand is therefore launching a new highlight in the new model series while continuing a tradition that has repeatedly met with great enthusiasm throughout the history of the E-Class.

- Affalterbach, Jan 21, 2009 - With immediate effect, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also available with the AMG sports package. This new, optional package includes sporty and dynamic features, some of which are not available individually. The AMG sports package can be combined with all engine variants and all E-Class design and equipment lines.

- Detroit, Jan 11, 2009 - With the new E-Class, Mercedes-Benz is presenting the pacemaker when it comes to safety, comfort and environmental compatibility in this market segment. With more than 20 new or further technical developments, this saloon further consolidates the leading position of Mercedes-Benz in the luxury class. They include trailblazing innovations for safe driving that are available from no other manufacturer worldwide in this combination. Examples include the standard Attention Assist, Adaptive Main Beam Assist and automatic emergency braking, which is activated when there is acute danger of a collision.

- Detroit, Jan 10, 2009 - On the eve of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new E-Class sedan. The new model will be available for order in Europe on January 12, 2009, and hit showrooms in the spring. “The E-Class is of special importance to Mercedes-Benz: it is and will remain the ‘heart’ of the Mercedes-Benz brand and expresses its core values in an exemplary manner,” said Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.

- Stuttgart, Dec 19, 2008 - Mercedes-Benz has delivered 1.5 million units of the current E-Class series to customers since the model’s market launch six years ago. “The current E-Class and its predecessor models have been the ‘heart’ of Mercedes-Benz for more than 60 years now,” says Dr. Klaus Maier, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars. “With its typical brand attributes that include safety, comfort, innovation, economy, and quality, the E-Class has delighted around 12 million customers worldwide across eight model generations.”

- Los Angeles, Oct 16, 2007 - With its market launch in California, the E 320 BLUETEC starts out as the world’s only diesel-engined passenger car to be available in California today. Mercedes-Benz is thus the first automaker who complies with the stringent emission limits of California – and other federal states – with a compression-ignition engine.

- Stuttgart, Jul 19, 2006 - Bolstered by a new V8 engine developing 285 kW/388 hp, the CLK 500 Coupé and Cabriolet models now serve up sports car-esque driving pleasure. The newly developed 5.5-litre V8 engine boasts a peak torque of 530 Nm (outgoing model: 460 Nm), allowing the CLK-Class to deliver a virtuoso performance:

- Affalterbach, Apr 19, 2006 - Mercedes-AMG is making the new-generation E-Class even more dynamic. The new AMG sports package combines an array of appealing optional items (many of them not available on their own), such as AMG bodystyling, more sportily tuned suspension, special seats and the AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel.

- Stuttgart, Apr 21, 2005 - This June, the CLK-Class coupe and convertible will become even more irresistible for customers. Not only will Mercedes-Benz be offering four new model variants, it will also upgrade the CLK models by giving them a redesigned front as well as numerous technical innovations for even more safety and comfort.

- Stuttgart, Jun 3, 2004 - Mercedes-Benz is again significantly upgrading the successful CLK-Class in terms of technology, visual impact and appointments: from mid-2004 the CLK Coupé and CLK Cabriolet will receive DIRECT CONTROL technology which features modified axle bearings, more direct steering and a shorter gearshift travel, making even more dynamic handling possible with the same high level of ride comfort.

- Stuttgart, Feb 4, 2004 - Even in the cold of winter, Mercedes-Benz’s successful CLK-Class convertible offers the highest levels of comfort. The extensive, multi-layer padding used in the fabric top insulates the convertible’s four-seat interior and keeps it warm even when the temperature plunges outside.
