- Stuttgart / Gundelfingen, Dec 16, 2020 - Heavy duty tractor units like the Mercedes-Benz Actros SLT are often involved when oversize, heavy duty components or machinery are transported. The Actros SLT is now celebrating a milestone: the 500th Mercedes-Benz SLT towing vehicle based on the current Actros has been handed over to TSB Transport-Service Beitinger in Swabia's Gundelfingen.

- Stuttgart/Coesfeld, Jun 12, 2020 - A weighty order in difficult times: despite the covid-19 crisis large-scale projects like the delivery of a gigantic pressure tank must still be completed on time. After months of planning, Stuttgart-based Paule, a haulage company specialising in heavy-duty transportation, recently completed an order from Maschinenbau Scholz GmbH &Co. KG in Coesfeld with its usual precision.

- Stuttgart, May 20, 2014 - The new SLT heavy-haulage vehicle is a high-calibre specialist developed by Mercedes-Benz to meet the requirements of this highly demanding transport segment. Customers opting for the new heavy-haulage vehicle benefit from highly specialised vehicles produced by a single manufacturer with perfectly coordinated components: engine, transmission and axles all bear the Mercedes star. The basic SLT vehicle is manufactured at the Mercedes-Benz Wörth truck plant and completed by the subsidiary CTT (Custom Tailored Trucks) in Molsheim, France.

- Wörth/Germany, Molsheim/France, Jan 28, 2014 - Mercedes-Benz Trucks has saved the best for last: With the presentation of the “king” class of its heavy-duty trucks, Mercedes-Benz today brought its Euro VI offensive to a close. The company is now displaying the heavy-duty Actros SLT and Arocs SLT trucks for the first time. These customized trucks can move up to 250 tons; this enables them to transport wind turbines, for example. The amount of work involved in customizing a truck is enormous, as the vehicle has to be fitted with stronger frames, additional axles, highly efficient cooling systems, a special clutch to help get the truck moving, and a high-performance braking system. And these are only the most important conversion tasks.

- Stuttgart, Jan 28, 2014 - Rounding off the Mercedes-Benz Trucks "A team": the new SLT heavy-haulage vehicle tops the range comprising the Actros, Arocs, Antos and Atego which has been fully revamped in anticipation of the introduction of the Euro VI emissions standard. The heavy-haulage vehicle is an in-house development by Daimler Trucks which holds a wealth of special technical treats in store.
