Daimler Buses received large orders for urban buses of the brand with the star in the metropolises of Latin America, such as in Brazil's third-largest city, Salvador da Bahia, which ordered 180 bus chassis units from the Daimler subsidiary Mercedes-Benz do Brasil as part of the renewal of its urban fleet. As such, it fits in perfectly with the existing concept embodied by its Bietigheim-based urban buses "City Lounge" and "Metro Lounge". On 25 October 2013, three Intouro rural-service buses were handed over to transport operator Willms Reinhold Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH at the Mannheim bus plant. One of the three vehicles was the milestone vehicle itself, bearing the chassis number 6000. Ralph Willms, Managing Director of Willms Reinhold Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH, received the symbolic key to the milestone vehicle from Rüdiger Kappel of the Mercedes-Benz Bus and Coach unit.
