  • Charleston, SC, USA , Aug 5, 2021 - More than 200,000 Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations in the U.S. since June 2006. At that time, the small Charleston plant was performing semi-knockdown (SKD) assembly and was better known as DaimlerChrysler Manufacturing International (DCMI) with a team of 100 employees.

  • Stuttgart, Jun 24, 2019 - Mercedes-Benz Cars and the Egyptian government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for local assembly of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in Egypt.
  • Moscow, Apr 3, 2019 - Mercedes-Benz Cars is starting production for the local market in the new passenger car plant Moscovia with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan. SUV models will follow the E-Class. Mercedes-Benz Cars is investing more than 250 million euros in the plant in the Moscow region. Over 1,000 employees will work in production and administration.

  • Stuttgart, Germany / Uusikaupunki, Finland, Jul 10, 2018 - The ramp-up for the new A-Class has reached Finland: it began in April at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Rastatt, Germany and was followed by the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét, Hungary in May.

  • Kecskemét, May 14, 2018 - The Mercedes-Benz Kecskemét plant has started production of the new A-Class. This makes the Hungarian plant, about 90 km in the south of Budapest, the second location worldwide to produce the new compact model.
