Positioning

The sixth model generation of the E-Class Estate has all the innovations of the E-Class – the world’s most intelligent business saloon. In the summer of 2018, the Mercedes-Benz E‑Class was extensively upgraded. The model series narrows the gap to the S-Class with the cutting-edge driving assistance systems. Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist now provide even more comfortable support for the driver in steering and keeping a safe distance – the speed is now adjusted automatically ahead of bends, junctions or roundabouts.

Highlights

  • The load capacity is up to 1820 litres, and despite a sporty roofline the headroom and elbow-room in the rear are unrivalled in this class.
  • The cargo function included as standard for the rear seat unit provides an additional load capacity of 30 litres while retaining full usability as a five-seater.
  • All models are equipped with the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission.
  • In the estate car versions of the E 63 4MATIC+ and E 63 S 4MATIC+, Mercedes‑AMG combines hallmark Driving Performance with high utility value and the intelligence of the E‑Class. As in the Saloon, the 4.0‑litre V8 biturbo engine with up to 450 kW (612 hp) and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive ensure superior driving dynamics.
  • The plug-in hybrid E 300 de is aimed at an important target group in the comfortable Mercedes-Benz luxury class: high-mileage drivers who attach importance to long-distance comfort and occasionally wish to make use of the high towing capacity – while being able to drive without emissions in inner city areas.
