- The Mercedes-Benz Jawor plant is the youngest site in the Mercedes-Benz powertrain production network and a high-tech location for the production of highly efficient four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines as well as battery systems for Mercedes-Benz plug-in hybrids and all-electric Mercedes-EQ models.
- The battery factory has been producing plug-in hybrid batteries for the C, E and S classes since 2020. This year the location is expanding its portfolio to include battery systems for the electric Mercedes-EQ compact SUVs. Jawor is therefore part of the global battery production network of Mercedes-Benz Cars with locations on three continents.
- The factory was designed as a CO2-neutral factory right from the start and thus plays a pioneering role in the context of the sustainability goals of Mercedes-Benz AG: A nearby wind farm supplies the production facilities with energy.
- The Jawor location relies on modern systems and innovative Industry 4.0 technologies on a production and logistics area of 250.000 sqm and is an important employer in the region.
