- The Mercedes-Benz AG’s Thuringian subsidiary with sites in Kölleda and Arnstadt is an important part of Mercedes-Benz’s global powertrain production network.
- The engine plant of MDC Power GmbH in Kölleda has assembled four-cylinder petrol and four/six-cylinder diesel engines for Mercedes-Benz vehicles with conventional and electrified drives since 2003. To date, more than 10 million engines have rolled off the production line in Kölleda.
- The component plant in Arnstadt processes crankcases for Mercedes-Benz engines with the NANOSLIDE® process. In this process the cylinder liners are coated and finely honed. Processing the crankcases helps reduce weight and fuel consumption, and makes a major contribution to CO2-reduction.
