- Trier / Stuttgart, Sep 19, 2019 - On 18 September, Steffen Maiwald (Member of the Board of Management at Stadtwerke Trier), Michael Schröder (Managing Director of SWT Stadtwerke Trier Verkehrs-GmbH), Rüdiger Kappel (Head of Fleet Sales at Daimler Buses Deutschland), and Christian Fambach (Plant Representative for Public Transport at Daimler Buses) jointly signed an order to supply 90 Mercedes-Benz Citaro city buses.

- Stuttgart/Krakow/Gdansk/Bialystok, May 25, 2018 - From September 2018, 86 Mercedes-Benz city buses will be arriving to reinforce the fleet of the Krakow public transport authority. Poland's second-largest public transport authority has placed an order for 56 Mercedes-Benz Citaro and 30 Mercedes-Benz Citaro hybrid vehicles.

- Stuttgart / Madrid, May 30, 2016 - Transport operator EMT in the Spanish capital Madrid with its around 3.2 million inhabitants is a long-time user of alternative drives in its buses. The focus of its alternative drives will be the gas engine. So far, the use of natural-gas vehicles has made it possible to cut emissions by over 80 per cent.

- Stuttgart/Augsburg, Mar 4, 2016 - On 4 March Hartmut Schick, Head of Daimler Buses, handed over the symbolic key for twelve Mercedes-Benz Citaro NGT buses (Natural Gas Technology) to Dr Walter Casazza, manager of the public utility Augsburger Stadtwerke, in the presence of the mayor Dr Kurt Gribl. At the ceremonial vehicle delivery at the Augsburg town hall square Hartmut Schick emphasised the importance of the new, environmentally-friendly natural gas-powered fleet from Mercedes-Benz for Daimler Buses:" The fact that Augsburger Stadtwerke have chosen the Mercedes-Benz Citaro NGT to update their fleet validates our efforts to continue developing alternatives to the classic diesel drive and to offer these in practical form.

- Stuttgart/Mannheim, Nov 13, 2015 - The best-selling Citaro urban bus has already celebrated numerous successes. It is the world's best-selling Mercedes-Benz urban bus, has been voted "Bus of the Year", holds the Sustainability Award, is a winner of the "Green Bus Award" and was the first series production urban bus worldwide to comply with the Euro VI emission standard. Now the Citaro is able to celebrate another milestone: not even two years after the Euro VI emission standard came into force, the 5000th Citaro Euro VI, an articulated Citaro GÜ inter-city bus, has already been delivered.

- Stuttgart, Nov 14, 2014 - On 14 November 2014, the transport operator Hamburg-Holstein AG (VHH) took delivery of the 50th Mercedes-Benz Citaro Euro VI. This model is part of a supply contract for 82 vehicles agreed in 2013. The second largest public transport company in northern Germany currently runs a fleet of 577 buses in order to provide an efficient, economical and customer-friendly local passenger transport service in the metropolitan area of Hamburg. Over 90 percent of these vehicles bear the Mercedes-Benz star.

- Stuttgart, May 8, 2014 - At just 6.5 kilometres long, this bus route is nevertheless demanding. Up to 3700 passengers per day travel Germany's steepest bus route on the 1834-metre high Kehlstein Mountain where the Eagle's Nest is located. In the Berchtesgaden Alps, gradients of up to 24 percent test both driver and vehicle. During the second week of May, the regional bus company Regionalverkehr Oberbayern GmbH (RVO) added three new Mercedes-Benz Citaro Euro VI models to its fleet of intercity regular-service buses on the Kehlstein route.

- Stuttgart / Mannheim, Apr 16, 2014 - The No. 1 among regular service buses is now the bestselling Mercedes bus of all time: with a total production of 40,000 units to date, the Mercedes-Benz Citaro has set a new record. The same applies to the minibuses from Mercedes-Benz: they have now exceeded the 20,000 mark.

- Stuttgart, Aug 27, 2013 - The decision to commission 33 particularly environmentally friendly urban regular-service buses was made by Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG) as early as the end of last year. Procurement of the vehicles formed part of a sustainability programme, aimed at continually optimising environmentally safe technology and working methods across all of the business units of BSAG. On 27 August 2013, delivery of the first of 33 Mercedes-Benz Citaro articulated buses was celebrated as part of a handover ceremony held in Bremen's market square.

- Stuttgart/Kloten, Apr 8, 2013 - Die BLT Baselland Transport AG haben am 04. April neun Mercedes-Benz Citaro On 04 April, BLT Baselland Transport AG in Switzerland took delivery of nine Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses meeting the requirements of the future Euro VI emissions standard. These are the first standard-production regular-service solo buses featuring this clean technology to go into service with BLT in Switzerland.

- Stuttgart/Berne-Kloten, Dec 10, 2012 - Swiss public transport operator PostBus Switzerland AG has taken delivery of its 500th Mercedes-Benz Citaro bus. The milestone vehicle was handed over to Daniel Landolf, Member of the Executive Management at Swiss Post and Head of the Group unit PostBus, by Frank Scherhag and Armin Krieg, CEO and Head of Sales respectively for Mercedes-Benz Buses at EvoBus (Switzerland) AG, at Begnins in the Swiss Canton of Vaud on 4 December 2012.

- Stuttgart, Nov 28, 2012 - Beginning on May 1, 2013, 159 new-generation Mercedes-Benz Citaro urban buses will be providing comfortable, environmentally compatible passenger transport in the Hungarian capital of Budapest. Daimler Buses landed the major order in early November 2012, and will begin delivering the first urban buses to Budapest in April 2013. The contract is the biggest order to date for the new generation of Mercedes-Benz urban buses. The vehicles were ordered by Hungary’s largest private bus company, VT Transman, which operates both regional and municipal bus lines.

- Stuttgart/Offenburg, Sep 24, 2012 - The city buses in Offenburg are known locally as "Key buses". In a reflection of the motto that "Key buses open up the whole town to you", the bus has gained the wholehearted acceptance of the local population and these days forms the backbone of Offenburg's local public transport system. State-of-the-art and, since very early on, extremely environmentally compatible regular-service buses provide an extensive network that covers the whole city region and even extends into the "Cappuccino Mile", as the city's central pedestrian shopping area is known.

- Stuttgart/Wiesbaden, May 22, 2012 - Wiesbaden-based ESWE has today taken delivery of a Mercedes-Benz Citaro meeting the future Euro VI emission standard in a handover ceremony attended by Dr. Helmut Müller, Lord Mayor of the provincial capital of Wiesbaden. A further two vehicles are due to be delivered in the next few days. These are the first series production buses to go into operation featuring the clean technology.

- Stuttgart, Sep 20, 2011 - The new Citaro created a sensation when it was presented to the general public just a few weeks ago. The best-selling urban bus from Mercedes-Benz has been completely revamped, and experts were quick to predict a great future for the bus. This future is already becoming reality: on 19 September, a ceremony was held to mark the delivery of the Citaro to a customer, Lücke-Reisen.
