- Stuttgart/Rems-Murr district, Apr 7, 2021 - In the fight against the corona virus pandemic and in a bid to speed up the vaccination campaign in the Rems-Murr district, the head of the district's council, Dr Richard Sigel has joined forces with Baden-Württemberg's Ministry for Social Affairs and drawn up a unique concept within the State of Baden-Württemberg which will see a mobile doctor's practice being used directly in the towns and villages of the district.

Two tonnes of steel spread over a diameter of five metres are being transported safely in a tilted position on the back of a hydraulic heavy-duty transporter with a Mercedes-Benz Actros semitrailer truck.

- Stuttgart / Gaggenau, Mar 24, 2021 - Since July 2019, the purely battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros has proven its worth in extensive field testing at the company Logistik Schmitt. The eActros has travelled a total of around 50,000 kilometres in the Northern Black Forest to date, carrying more than 100,000 load units on around 5,000 trips.

- Stuttgart, Mar 19, 2021 - A farmhand with 25 hp: the semi-automatic potato planting machine was an implement dating back to the beginnings of the Unimog. The track width of the Unimog was designed for work amongst the potato rows: it was 1270 mm which was sufficient space for precisely two rows of potatoes between the wheels.

- Stuttgart / Tokyo , Mar 11, 2021 - Daimler Trucks’ Japan-based subsidiary FUSO, one of Asia’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has delivered three all-electric FUSO eCanter light-duty trucks to IKEA Japan K.K., the Japanese subsidiary of Swedish home furnishing company IKEA,. IKEA Japan is the first home furnishing company to receive delivery of the eCanter.

- Gothenburg, Sweden / Stuttgart, Germany , Mar 1, 2021 - Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group today completed the transaction to form the previously announced fuel-cell joint venture. The Volvo Group has acquired 50 percent of the partnership interests in the existing Daimler Truck Fuel Cell GmbH & Co.

- Stuttgart, Feb 26, 2021 - 2021 is a very special year at Daimler Trucks and Buses – there are four anniversaries to celebrate: in 1896 Gottlieb Daimler presented the first truck and in 1951 Otto Kässbohrer followed with the first bus to feature a self-supporting structure – the Setra. Five years before that the first prototype of the Unimog scrambled across difficult terrain.

- Seattle/Blacksburg/Stuttgart, Feb 17, 2021 - Torc Robotics has selected Amazon Web Services (AWS), Inc. as its preferred cloud provider to handle the scale and speed needed for data transfer, storage, and compute capacity as the company prepares to deploy its fleet of next-generation self-driving test trucks in New Mexico and Virginia.

- Stuttgart/ Portland, Oregon, Feb 16, 2021 - The Board of Management of Daimler Truck AG has appointed John O’Leary (60) as the next President and CEO of Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) with its brands Freightliner Trucks, Western Star Trucks, Thomas Built Buses, Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation and Detroit Diesel Corporation.

- Stuttgart / East Kilbride bei Glasgow, Dec 18, 2020 - A displacement of 15.6 litres, a six-cylinder in-line engine with 425 kW (580 hp), four axles of which two are driven – those are the key statistics for the Arocs 3258 8x4 which is now being used in the fight against sewage system dirt in Scotland. A steered rear axle makes the four-axle truck as agile as a three-axle vehicle so that it can reach its destination even on winding roads.

- Stuttgart / Gundelfingen, Dec 16, 2020 - Heavy duty tractor units like the Mercedes-Benz Actros SLT are often involved when oversize, heavy duty components or machinery are transported. The Actros SLT is now celebrating a milestone: the 500th Mercedes-Benz SLT towing vehicle based on the current Actros has been handed over to TSB Transport-Service Beitinger in Swabia's Gundelfingen.

- Stuttgart / Hamburg, Dec 15, 2020 - The battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros is starting another customer trial: with Netto Marken-Discount in the greater Hamburg area. The food discounter is testing the heavy-duty electric truck to supply its Hamburg supermarkets with, for example, fruit, vegetables, dairy products and dry goods.

- Stuttgart / Nieuwegein, Dec 14, 2020 - Daimler Trucks continues the delivery of its all-electric FUSO eCanter in the Netherlands. In 2020, PostNL, one of the launch customers of the FUSO eCanter in the country, expanded its fleet of locally emission free light-duty trucks by adding four eCanter to their fleet.

- Stuttgart, Germany / Guildford, UK, Dec 10, 2020 - Linde (NYSE: LIN; FWB: LIN) and Daimler Truck AG have signed an agreement to jointly develop the next generation of liquid-hydrogen refueling technology for fuel-cell-powered trucks. With their collaboration, the partners aim to make the refueling process with hydrogen as easy and practical as possible.
